What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact form, by email or by phone, we collect the details you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and any project details you include.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, in server logs used for security and to keep the site running.
How and why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To deliver and invoice our services if you become a client. Lawful basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation (e.g. accounting and tax records).
- To keep the website secure and working. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
We do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Who we share it with
We only share personal data with service providers who help us run the business, under contract and only for that purpose:
- Hostinger: website hosting and email.
- Google Fonts: the fonts on this site are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address when a page loads.
- Our accountant and professional advisers, where needed.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK-approved safeguards such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for 6 years after the end of the work, in line with UK accounting and limitation requirements. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host.
Job applicants
If you apply through our “Join our team” form, we collect the details and CV you send, including your answer on right to work in the UK. We use them only to consider your application (lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting). If you’re not taken on, we delete your application within 12 months, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or agree to us keeping it longer for future roles.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress may set strictly necessary cookies (for example, when an administrator is logged in). If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy of it in a portable format. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
